Disk Drive Magnet Drill Bit Holder

A quick fun post. Especially since Rare-earth minerals are in the news.

For security conscious folks who have a stack of PC disk drives in boxes trying to figure out how to dispose of them or what you can do with them. Here is an idea.

I take the disk drives apart for fun. You need a few different size torx drivers and maybe a pliers and screw driver. It is a good stress reliever. I should make a post about disassembly of disk drives.

Anyway each one comes with a very powerful magnet. I have a bunch laying around, well sticking actually. Other than being great at holding up a massive amount of papers to your refrigerator I really haven't had a use for them.

Well now I have put one of my magnets to use (other than holding up paper)! Never have a drill bit roll away again.
